Instant Pot Hambone And Cabbage Soup

The perfect way to use that leftover hambone, this hambone and cabbage soup is rich, delicious, and easy-to-make!

Ingredients

  • 1 hambone
  • 1 head cabbage sliced
  • 1 yellow onion chopped
  • 2 heads garlic roasted (directions in blog post)
  • 32 oz chicken broth unsalted
  • 8 oz sliced mushrooms
  • 15 oz no salt tomato sauce (+ 1 can of water)
  • 1/3 cup spicy brown mustard
  • 1 tbsp thyme dried
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Add hambone and chicken broth to instant pot; cook for 45 minutes on high. Pull hambone out, let cool, and then pull off and chop any meat, add meat back into instant pot.
  • Add remaining ingredients to instant pot and cook for 30 minutes on high.
