Bratwurst and Sauerkraut
It’s a classic combination you can’t go wrong with. It’s made especially delicious when you throw brown sugar, garlic, and onions in the mix.
This Garlic Brown Sugar Bratwurst and Sauerkraut recipe is easy-to-make and comes together in no time. Seriously, you mix, bake, plate, and enjoy!
Cooking Bratwurst in the Oven
I am a BIG fan of cooking bratwurst in the oven. It’s hands-down the easiest way to cook them. There’s no pricking, constant rotating, or having to pay attention to your heat source so they don’t burn. The brats won’t shrivel up, split, or bloat.
Simply place the bratwurst into the oven at a cozy 375 degrees and let them roast for 30 minutes.
The result?
Perfectly cooked links of flavor that snap when you bite into them, filling your mouth with juices and meat. Yum!
An Optional Step
You can brown the bratwursts in a frying pan or skillet before you put them in the oven.
You’ll just need to lessen your cooking time in the oven about 10 minutes.
