Okay, this was supposed to be a recipe for stuffed shells but when I pulled out the noodles……they were small, well—not large enough to stuff and not small enough for macaroni and cheese.

I’m a grocery store zoomer.

What You Need To Make Three Cheese Pasta Casserole with Ground Beef:

◉ pasta shells, medium-sized

◉ ground beef

◉ yellow onion

◉ olive oil

◉ Italian seasoning

◉ black pepper

◉ salt

◉ pasta sauce

◉ ricotta cheese

◉ shredded mozzarella cheese

◉ shaved parmesan

◉ eggs

How To Make Three Cheese Pasta Casserole with Ground Beef:

Step one—Cook pasta shells in salted boiling water until al dente (use the cooking time on box.)

Step two—In a large pan or skillet, brown ground beef in olive oil; drain, return to pan, and add onion—cook until the onions just begin to soften.

Step three—Stir in Italian seasoning, pasta sauce, salt, and pepper; simmer over low heat for ten minutes.

Step four—In a large mixing bowl, add pasta and meat sauce; stir until fully mixed.

Step five—In a separate bowl, add ricotta, egg, and mozzarella; stir.

Step six—In a prepared casserole dish, alternate layers of meat sauce and ricotta mix; top with parmesan.

Step seven—Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until cheese begins to brown and bubble.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 yellow onion chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups pasta sauce favorite brand
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 large egg lightly beaten
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8 oz shaved parmesan cheese

Instructions
